So yesterday, my mom decided to make cookies. You may think that would be a good thing, but it was a terrible experience.
Since my mom is shorter than me, I grab things from the top shelves for her. I reached for the sugar container, and next thing I knew I was on the ground with a sharp pain in my shoulder. Hmm, this isn't a good way to start the day. After getting off the floor, I sat down at the recipe and helped my mom with the rest of the ingredients.

| Shortbread, yum |
After awhile, she had made the dough. (Which required her to cut out the center and then try to lift it off the wax paper, took a few tries to get it right) I didn't help much with this stage except to read the recipe for her.

| Ooo, caramel! |
Yay, the cooking is done, now we can move on to the fun part, or so I thought. We roasted some coconut shreds, melted caramel, and then combined them. Let's just say that a really hot, sticky caramel mess combined with skin is not very pleasant at all. Not to mention that the Coco-caramel refused to stick to the cookie. Augh, this lasted for hours! We even made a double batch of the Coco-caramel and it only covered one batch worth of cookies. The coco-caramel did not want to stick if you had put any less on it.

Next, we had to dip the bottom of the cookies into chocolate. Never mind, she dropped one in it. So, we used a spoon to spread it instead. Of course, with a chocolate bottom, you have to drizzle it on top! ;)
Well, after 2 hours to the power of 3, we finished. I finally looked outside to see that it was snowing! Ah, snow! Why can't you be here in January! Oh well, what can you do. The only thing that weighs against the trouble of making them, is how great they taste when fully set. (Red Robin) YUM!
